Biography

Being exposed to music from such a young age, his uncle being a famous calypso artist, his dad and uncles being involved in a few sound systems around London, predominantly playing rare groove, soul and lovers rock. Cousins and uncle being successful/famous house, rap/hip hop, soca and reggae/dancehall djs, helped shape Slender's love and appreciation for music and the artistry of djing begun at 13. Being a huge sports participant mainly football and athletics, Slender didn’t take up djing straight away. 2008 Slender decided to start investing more time and resources into djing which resulted in playing at house parties and then on to clubs and events. As time has gone on Slender has built a reputation as an amazing multi-genre DJ playing at a variety of events from birthdays & weddings to high profile corporate events.

However, Slender more specifically enjoys R&B/Slow Jams - Rare Groove/Soul, which compliments how smooth and cool he is as an individual. Slender is a Charismatic individual, with a specific eye for detail, being able to get the best out of a situation or surpass a client’s expectation without the client’s input is a key reason as to why Slender is so unique. He's a true artist in that respect. A real people person with a constant aim to please the most difficult individual. Somebody who thrives from seeing other people happy or pleased from the service he provides.

Slender has had the opportunity to work at some amazing venues across the UK and internationally as well as work with some amazing artists. Slender has a few residencies around London, at various bars and restaurants, as well as digitally on radio; Pulse88 every Sunday from 10pm till midnight playing R&B and Slow Jams.

Slender’s passion extends beyond music to his family especially his two daughters, he states "everything he does is for them."
